Day 1 : Monday : Bangalore

Report at The Leela Palace ,Bangalore for check-in formalities for 7 nights Southern Splendour train. Afternoon city tour & visit to Tippu’s Palace and the Bull temple are worth visiting. Reach Railway station by 2000 hrs for Boarding the Southern Splendour train Depart by 2100 hrs.

Day 2 : Tuesday : Chennai & Mamallapuram

Morning discover the modern city of Chennai, Ensconced with temples,& unique for its allegiance to ancient traditions and ethos. Afternoon excursion to Mamallapuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient beach temples and stone carvings inspired by the Pallava art.

Day 3 : Wed : Pondicherry

Being a former French colony, the beach town of Pondicherry exudes a Mediterranean aura ensconced with French style architecture and boutiques.

Day 4 : Thurs : Tanjavur

World-famous for Brahadishwara temple, a historical monument dating back to 11th century which now is an UNESCO World Heritage Site . The region also offers unique Tanjavur style paintings and Tanjavur dolls.

Day 5 : Fri : Madurai

The temple city of , Madurai has a rich cultural heritage that goes back to over 2, 500 years. The city is synonymous with the celebrated Meenakshi temple which stands today as one of the country’s greatest architectural landmarks. Close to the temple is situated yet another architectural wonder, the Tirumalai Nayak Mahal, a classic blend of Dravidian, Islamic and European architecture.

Day 6 : Sat : Trivandrum & Kovalam Beach

Thiruvananthapuram city , is spread over seven hills with a tradition going back to 1000 BC. It is famous for the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple believed to be the holiest abode of Lord Vishnu. Another major attraction in Thiruvananthapuram is the Kovalam beach located around 13kms from the city. Secluded by coconut groves, it is a perfect place to unwind.

Day 7 : Sun : Kerala Backwaters & Kochi

Morning visit Alleppey is also known as the “Venice of the east”. & more famous as Kerala Backwaters Enjoy boat cruise through its canals ,which takes you past scenic islands ensconced with coconut and palm trees. Afternoon visit “Queen of the Arabian sea”, Kochi is a vibrant cosmopolitan city famous for its Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch palace.

Day 08 : Bangalore Return

Morning train returns to Bangalore.Tour ends

Cabins(Sleeping Chambers) on the Train are allotted for private use,as in Hotels.

Accommodation in Air Conditioned Train Cabins with proper beds & attached washroom having Shower Cubicle; Travel, Daily Three Meals; Excursion & Sightseeing by A/C coaches with services of English Speaking Guide; Entrance fees at monuments & wildlife park; Bottled drinking water

Southern Splendour Train Tour Cost Excludes (Not Included) :
Consumption of alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages; Video Camera fees at monuments & wildlife parks; laundry; tour insurance; use of business centre & spa facility; porterage; tips; gratuity & all other expenses of personal nature.

Southern Splendour Train Booking Procedure :
Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of minimum 20% Advance Deposit,with names & nationality of passengers.
The Balance/Full Tour Amount must reach us atleast 45 days before departure date,with all the Passengers travelling Passport Details(viz. Name/Nationality/Passport Number/Place of Issue/Date of Issue)
Booking requests received within 45 days of departure date will only be confirmed against Full 100% advance payment.

Bank Wire Transfer,under intimation.
OR
Residents of India can deposit payment directly in nearest branch of ICICI OR UTI Bank.

Southern Splendour Train Cancellation Rules :
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
MINIMUM 5% of Total Tour Cost will be charged as Cancellation Fee,if written request received at any period prior to 61 days of departure date.
MINIMUM 20% of Total Tour Cost will be charged as Cancellation Fee,if written request received between 31 to 60 days prior to departure date.
MINIMUM 50% of Total Tour Cost will be charged,as Cancellation Fee if written request received between 16 to 30 days prior to departure date.
FULL 100% of Total Tour Cost will be charged as Cancellation Fee,if written request received less than 16 days prior to departure date.
We reserve the right to forfeit your advance deposit if full payment is not received before 45 days of departure date.
